A Course Of The Vaccine Combining Diphtheria With Tetanus And Polio Is Offered Routinely In The UK From The Age Of 8 Weeks. A Booster Vaccination May Be Advised For Travellers Going To Areas Of High Risk.

Hepatitis A

Protection Duration: Up To 1 Year After A Single Dose. 2nd Dose Extends Protection To At Least 25 Years. How Is It Given: Single Injection With Booster At 6-12 Months, Combined Vaccines May Have Different Schedules. Ideally Start: 2 Weeks Before Travel However Can Be Given To Last Minute Travellers.

Protection Duration: Lifelong For Most Travellers Following A Primary Course How Is It Given: Usually Given As 3 Injections At Varying Intervals Depending On Date Of Travel. 4th Dose Sometimes Recommended.

Hepatitis A + B combined

The combined Hepatitis A & B vaccine requires 3 or 4 doses. The standard schedule is at 0, 1, and 6 months, while an accelerated schedule is 0, 7, and 21 days with a 4th dose after 12 months if needed. The timing depends on travel plans.
