Struggling to find a specific medication? We can help demystify the process. We will try to source it for you or provide clear advice on the steps to take.

If a medication is unavailable due to national shortages, we will contact your GP to secure an alternative prescription, ensuring you face no delays.

Prescription Costs & Exemptions

For the latest costs and to see if you qualify for free prescriptions, please visit the NHS Health Costs webpage. You are likely eligible if you:

  • Are 60 or over, under 16, or 16-18 in full-time education.

  • Are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months.

  • Have a specified medical condition or disability.

  • Receive certain benefits like Income Support or Universal Credit (Subject to type of UC)

Save Money with a PPC

If you pay for prescriptions and need several items, a Pre-Payment Certificate (PPC) can save you money.

  • It’s cost-effective if you need 4 or more items in 3 months, or 15 or more in 12 months.

  • You can pay in a lump sum or spread the cost over 10 monthly direct debit payments.

  • Order yours online via the NHS, by phone (0845 850 0030), or with a form from our pharmacy.

Please remember to renew your PPC on time.
