Period delay tablets containing Norethisterone 5mg can be taken three times each day to postpone periods. Start taking the tablets at least three days before your period begins and continue for as long as you need them.

How is it given: 2 injections 4-8 weeks apart. Live vaccine, not suitable for everyone
How is it given: 2 doses 1 to 6 weeks apart, 3 doses for young children Ideally start: At least 2 weeks before travel.
A course of the vaccine combining diphtheria with tetanus and polio is offered routinely in the UK from the age of 8 weeks. A booster vaccination may be advised for travellers going to areas of high risk.
Protection duration: Up to 1 year after a single dose. 2nd dose extends protection to at least 25 years. How is it given: Single injection with booster at 6-12 months, combined vaccines may have different schedules. Ideally start: 2 weeks before travel however can be given to last minute travellers.
Protection duration: Lifelong for most travellers following a primary course How is it given: Usually given as 3 injections at varying intervals depending on date of travel. 4th dose sometimes recommended.
This combined vaccine is recommended when protection from Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B is required. The full course consists of three doses administered at Month 0,1 and 6 although if there is insufficient time the accelerated schedule of day 0, 7 and 21 can be followed with an additional dose administered after 12 months of the first dose. Number of doses required: 3 or 4given as 3 injections at varying intervals depending on date of travel. 4th dose sometimes recommended.
Single vaccine available to provide protection. This is formulated each year to protect against the current circulating strains.
How is it given: Single injection. Ideally start: 10-14 days before travel.
Children and adults at higher risk of getting seriously ill need At least 1 dose (some people may need extra doses or regular doses)
How is it given: 3 injections usually @ 0, 7 and 28 days. An accelerated schedule can be used if necessary: 4 injections @ 0, 3 and 7 days, with a 4th dose at 12 months. Ideally start: 4 weeks before travel.
Protection duration: uncertain, studies are ongoing; thought to be at least 5-10 years How is it given: Usually given as a course of one or two injections depending on the type of vaccination chosen. Ideally start: 4 weeks before travel.
Oral live vaccine is also available but not suitable for everyone. How is it given: Single injection or oral vaccine: 3 capsules taken on alternate days. Ideally start: 2-3 weeks before travel.
